M*A*S*H
M*A*S*H was an American sitcom about American doctors and nurses taking care of the injured during the Korean War running from 1963 to 1972. It was set in Uijeongbu, South Korea, north of Seoul in a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital or M*A*S*H and was supposed to be separate from the rest of the world and war. There were no true main characters, but rather the show supported a big ensemble cast with many different characters taking the main role for an episode or two. The show was a comedy, but still covered the horrible topics of war in a way that made the show seem more serious. Toward the end of the show, character development was more focused on rather than comedy. Characters grew more and developed into well-rounded characters rather than stereotypical characters. The editing and filming of the show was also more complex than any other show of its time. M*A*S*H's series finale was a two and a half hour special that is to this day, the most watched series' finale of all time. It is one of the most syndicated shows even in today's modern world. Coincidentally, the show lasted longer than the actual Korean War.
